A sketch I wrote and directed for NaSkeWriMo last year - promoting today for Star Trek’s 46th anniversary!

I’m in this! Only, because of one of the big support beams in the UCB audience, I’m completely invisible in this video!

So, there ate two possible solutions. Either assume I’m like an alien member of the crew from a race that’s just like an unseen being of light, or pretend I’m in a separate radio play while everyone else is doing Poupak’s sketch! Either way, fun!

Ps. I’m helping organize this year’s NaSkeWriMo show. Details aren’t finalized yet but it will definitely be a whole lot of fun!

This could be you! You could be Jon Bershad! (You can’t be Jon Bershad, Jon Bershad is Jon Bershad)

There are plans in the work for shows in NYC, Chicago, and a few folks are starting up conversations about a meet up in LA—join the conversation on our facebook page!

One week is through—are you up to seven sketches? Keep writing y’all!

Los Angeles Comedy People

I have a halfway decent and very producible video sketch idea that I want to try and make. If you’re in any way interested as an actor, director, editor, etc please let me know. People with a lot of Twitter followers think it’s a funny sketch!

Put Up Your Sketches!

sketchguild:

  • “Hey, Sketch Guild!”
  • “Okay—it’s weird that you’re addressing us with that and not, you know, our names, but what’s up?”
  • “I wrote some sketches! And I brought ‘em to Sketch Guild! And I got really good notes! So I rewrote those sketches! And I brought ‘em into Sketch Guild again!”
  • ”So what’s yer point, kid? We got a gruff exterior that belies the fact that we care and places to be, so spit it out!”
  • ”Well, I wanna put ‘em up! You know—in front of audiences!”
  • “Ah, the age-old conundrum.”
  • “What? It’s not a conundrum. I just need some information. Where in Los Angeles can I put up my sketches?”
  • “Well, let’s segue out of this unnecessarily lengthy introduction and talk about that.”
  • “This was pretty ill-conceived, huh, Sketch Guild?”
  • “Boy howdy was it.”
